Louisville Slugger Product Tech Videos

Louisville Slugger wanted to re-approach the product videos they do year over year, showcasing new tech in their bat lineup. I was tasked to lead our team to develop and produce tech videos for each of their Baseball and Fastpitch bats. We got each bat scanned at Direct Dimensions, to insure proper geometry for each model. Then I processed each bat material to insure realism in each product.

For Fastpitch I was tasked with all 3D animation on the project, working closely with an editor on the team to develop the look and animation style. I created a technical-electric reveal for each product section highlighting each section of the product we were speaking to in the video.

Baseball Tech Videos

For Baseball, I drew inspiration from the “Built For” campaign, which was based around Slugger’s design process of their bats. I pulled elements from bat blueprints, developing a sketchy visual style with clean bat imagery. For the video environment, I was inspired by shuffling papers where the bat is visualized to its peak design potential inside the shuffle.
